Toronto to Paris
We squeezed in a visit to Disneyland Paris during our month-long family vacation. After flying from Toronto to Charles de Gaulle Airport, we planned ahead and took a taxi to our hotel, Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, just a few miles from the park. The one-hour ride cost us around 50 euros, but the spacious Mercedes van comfortably accommodated all our luggage, and the kids took a well-deserved nap after the long red-eye flight.

After a quick check-in at the hotel, where we've also received our coupons and passed, we hopped on the shuttle bus for a short 10-minute ride to the park. With our keycard passes, we breezed through the booths, security checks, and within 15 minutes, we were inside the magical worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel. Although December is one of the busiest seasons, the lines moved quickly, and there were plenty of booths to scan our passes.
We stayed until the park closed at 10 pm, but even then, we didn’t have enough time to experience all the rides. Some of the wait times were long, so we prioritized the rides we didn’t want to miss—and we almost nailed them all! The 'Spider-Man' adventure was definitely the highlight for us.
Food inside was pricey, but there were plenty of options available. Thankfully, we brought some snacks from Toronto, which gave us a little extra energy before each ride.
Disneyland Park
We spent the entire next day at the park. It was long and tiring, but absolutely magical. We witnessed one of the best parades, filled with beloved Disney characters and incredible energy. The line-ups weren’t too bad early in the morning, so we made the most of that time.
By the end of the day, we were exhausted but over the moon with happiness, having met so many Disney characters and created memories that will last a lifetime
Note
One thing to note at the park is that selfie sticks are not allowed, and security is actively looking for those not following the rule. Be sure to pack enough food, snacks, and fruits—while there are plenty of places to sit and eat, you’ll want to maximize your time in the park. Instead, eat while waiting in line for rides; trust us, you’ll see many other families doing the same. And don’t forget to bring layers, as well as extra hats and mittens. We did lose a pair, but thankfully, we had backups.
Hers's our Paris diary video - we'll have another post on other activities, some other time:
